Songno - the new album from Boyd
An incredible new addition to the world of cross-over, Songno is Boyd’s most ambitious work to date. Produced from start to finish, including all composition, recording and post production, in only 2.5 months; Songno boasts a stellar line up of performers, composers and producers.
Songno is a combination of the English word ‘song’ and the Italian word ‘dream’ reflecting the emotional colours evoked by the lyrics and music of the CD.
With completely original songs by celebrated film composer Daniel Thornton and Joshua Owen. Sogno features combination of contemporary pop ballads and cinematic orchestral, choral and classical pieces: including the stunning duet with Estonian princess Hanna-Liina Vosa In this Place, the soaring Mio Mondo, the violin/vocal duet Sing Sweet Song and The River.
Conductor Andrew Wales was at the helm of The Australian Children’s Choir, members of The Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Orchestra and a 40 strong symphonic choir. Other exceptional artists include violinist James Steendham members of the Yarra Trio and special guests The Josh Owen Band.
Boyd hopes you enjoy Songno...
